Position Summary
The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Ya-Huei Kuo https://www.cityofhope.org/people/kuo-ya-huei in the Department of Hematologic Malignancies Translational Science.

This is an opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary team work to study information flow and state-transition at multi-dimensional scales in leukemia progression; and to identify and validate mechanisms contributing to leukemia transformation, immune evasion and therapy resistance.

Our research goals are to discover mechanisms of leukemogenesis and leukemia stem cell persistence; to develop mechanism-based targeted therapeutics; and to deliver useful tools to monitor and predict disease progression or therapy response. The laboratory utilizes mouse models of leukemia combined with biochemistry, functional genomics, high-throughput sequencing and mathematical modeling approaches.

Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in life sciences.
• Experience working with mice.
• Expertise in flow cytometry, biochemistry, molecular/cell biology techniques.
• Strong publication record.
