Postdoctoral Fellowship Position Available
A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in Dr. Jay Kolls’ laboratory for highly motivated candidates who are interested in lung mucosal immunology in response to bacterial and fungal pathogens. Postdoctoral compensation is in the range of $50,000 to $60,000 depending on prior research experience and qualifications, based on the NIH stipend. Dr. Kolls directs the Center for Translational Research in Infection and Inflammation Tulane School of Medicine that has state of the art facilities including a CTEK Aurora, FASC-Fusion sorter, and single cell sequencing. Research projects may involve, but are not limited to, (1) lung TRM cells: and targeting these cells for novel pneumonia vaccines 2) lung TRM cells and their niche: understanding how lung TRM cells survive and how they communicate to lung parenchymal cells; 3) antigen presentation in the lung: role of B cells and dendritic cells in antigen presentation; 4) Immunology of COVID-19 using a murine model.
