The Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Preferred candidates will have well-developed interdisciplinary research plans that employ innovative approaches, human systems, and animal models to study pathogenic mechanisms, innate immune responses, and inflammatory processes during infection with emerging or re-emerging viruses.

Other requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the biomedical sciences and an excellent record of research productivity. The successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded, collaborative research program and to participate in teaching and mentoring of graduate and medical students. The research-intensive Department of Immunology and Microbiology is housed in world-class facilities at the Anschutz Medical Campus in the Denver area (http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/departments/ImmunologyMicrobiology/Pages/welcome.aspx). The Department and the Anschutz Medical Campus foster a highly collegial culture and the possibility to establish collaborations with investigators in a variety of basic and clinical departments. Faculty appointees will receive outstanding start-up support and will work in a collaborative environment with state-of-the-art core facilities, including genomics, proteomics, imaging, Cryo-EM, and ABSL3/BSL3 facilities.
