Postdoctoral Scholar – Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine
We are an NIAID funded laboratory and we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher interested in airway inflammation, asthma, oxidative stress and immune mechanisms. We are studying the role of innate lymphoid cells, dendritic cells and NK cells as well as airway epithelial cell function. Self-motivated scholars that demonstrate passion for research along with a comprehensive working knowledge of common laboratory techniques in immunology with experience in transcriptional regulation, cell and molecular biology, animal models (mice), lung physiology, immunohistochemistry and computational modeling are encouraged to apply.
The Haczku lab has expertise in experimental cell and in vivo methods to understand immune regulation of airway inflammation. We utilize flow cytometry, cell and molecular biology, RNAseq, lung physiology and transcriptional regulation in a comprehensive approach to decipher the mechanisms of airways disease.
A PhD, or MD/PhD in a relevant field is required. Experience in flow cytometry is required. Fluency in English, strong communications skills and the ability to work well within a team are also essential. Candidates with a background in pulmonary immunology demonstrated in their publication record will be preferred.
