The Dehm Lab at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to study RNA-based mechanisms of prostate cancer progression with emphasis on metastasis and resistance to targeted therapies.  Training will occur in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment that provides opportunities to develop new technical skills, acquire new knowledge, and advance a career in translational cancer research.  The successful candidate is expected to develop and lead independent research projects that will culminate in high-profile publications.

This is a professionals-in-training position limited to period of 3 up to 5 year depending on training needs.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related discipline, and at least one first-author research manuscript published in a biomedical journal.

Experience with cell culture and molecular biology is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience with studying RNA-protein interactions and familiarity with experimental techniques including quantitative PCR, RT-PCR, eCLIP, immunoprecipitation, western blot, cell transfection, lentivirus infection, and CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing.

Candidates having experience in analysis of large genomics datasets are highly desirable.
