Faculty Position in Cancer Research

The Department of Biomedical Sciences in the Creighton University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track position at the ranks of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The department is under new leadership to further strengthen existing research programs in cancer research. Special consideration will be given to applicants studying the molecular and cellular basis of tumorigenesis, the genetic basis of cancer, and/or cancer therapeutic development. Creighton School of Medicine has a vast assortment of core facilities available to research staff including histology, microscopy, flow cytometry, and proteomics, as well as being the home of the Henry Lynch Hereditary Cancer Center. Appointees will be expected to conduct a vigorous independent research program and participate in the teaching of graduate and professional students. Generous laboratory space with equipment, competitive start-up funding, and state-of-the art core facilities will be provided. Applicants for junior positions should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degrees; postdoctoral training with significant research accomplishment; and scholarly promise. Applicants for senior positions should also have an established record of extramural funding.
