Assistant/ Associate/ Professor - Clinical Pharmacy & Translational Science, Memphis - 20000000TH 

Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics, an investigative unit within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy, invites applications for a twelve-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Rank will be commensurate with past academic and scholarly record. 

Faculty within the UTHSC College of Pharmacy are committed to the development and improvement of chemical and biological therapeutics through basic, translational, and clinical research. Our faculty are not only engaged in competitive, cutting-edge science, but also the education and training of Pharm.D. and Ph.D. students, fellows, and post-doctoral trainees. Applications will be accepted from scientists engaged in basic, translational, and clinical research.

 
The successful candidate is expected to have earned a doctorate (Pharm.D., Ph.D., or equivalent), the ability to acquire sustained extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and in oral and written communication skills.  Candidates with an existing federally funded research program that complement the current strengths of the department are of high priority.  Existing strengths include research programs focused on molecular mechanisms of fungal pathogenesis, novel antifungal drug design, and antifungal drug resistance.  Applicants with expertise in these areas are strongly encouraged to apply.  This position offers excellent laboratory facilities and a competitive start-up package. The successful candidate will have an outstanding opportunity to develop collaborative research programs across the UTHSC campus. Additional research collaborative opportunities in the area exist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
