Faculty Position in Basic or Translastion Research in Neonatalogy
The Department of Pediatrics and the Medical University South Carolina (MUSC) at Charleston is accepting applications for a tenured track faculty position in Neonatology at all ranks with qualified candidates eligible for an endowed Brumley Chair. We are seeking an outstanding basic or physician scientist with an interest to study neonatal health and disease. Areas of interests within neonatology include, but not limited to immunology, genomics and epigenomics, metabolism, and the microbiome.
The applicant should have a terminal degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD) with a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral training, and a track record of high quality publications. A record of extramural funded research is required for established faculty candidates and preferred but not required for more junior investigators.
The position is supported by generous startup funds and laboratory space within the Darby Children’s Research Institute (DCRI) housed with state-of-the-art facilities. The interdepartmental children’s research program supports a highly collaborative environment with opportunities for both basic and translational research.
