Open-Rank Faculty Opening in Bioengineering
Position Description
The Department of Bioengineering at Rice University, located in Houston, TX, seeks applications for faculty positions with a start date of July 2021.
We seek outstanding candidates specializing in in all areas of bioengineering research. However, our priority areas for this search are computational/theoretical modelling, immuno-engineering, infectious diseases and cancer research.
Faculty members are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, perform research in their specialized area, and contribute to university service. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in scholarship, teaching, and collegial service. Successful candidates will be required to have a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Candidates will be expected to establish a strong research program supported by extramural funding. Rice offers an outstanding environment for research at the interface of bioengineering, biology and medicine, with strong collaborations with the adjacent Texas Medical Center.

Requirements
All candidates must have a PhD degree in bioengineering or a related field and professional experience consistent with the position rank.
