Postdoctoral Fellow

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking an organized and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to manage research elucidating the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms of inherited atrial fibrillation. Applicants must have a PhD or MD/PhD with a strong research background in cell and molecular biology. The candidate will be expected to have mastery of the following techniques: Western blotting; PCR; fluorescent immunocytochemistry; Langendorff preparations; light and confocal microscopy; cardiac imaging including transthoracic echocardiography and mouse cardiovascular physiology. Applicants must be able to multitask and work independently in a dynamic research environment while maintaining professionalism for collaborative work.

Qualifications:

- MD/PhD or Equal with a strong research background in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry or related fields.

- Experience in mouse experiments, human induced pluripotent stem cells and CRISPR is considered a plus.
