Medicinal Chemistry

Applications are invited for a 12-month tenure track position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. A Ph.D. in organic or medicinal chemistry or a related discipline is required. Prior teaching experience, postdoctoral training, and evidence of potential for funding are preferred. Candidates are expected to establish an independent research program in a collaborative environment, and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teaching duties will be in the professional (Pharm.D.) program and the graduate program in pharmaceutical sciences. The successful candidate will also have the ability to direct Ph.D. students with the Department of Pharmacology at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. The review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the application deadline of November 15, 2020. The starting date is negotiable.
