Postdoctoral Position Studying Mechanisms of Genetic Codes and Circadian Clocks at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
Postdoctoral training positions are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Yi Liu,
https://profiles.utsouthwestern.edu/profile/42920/yi-liu.html, Department of Physiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. One focus of our research is to uncover the role and mechanism of synonymous codon usage in regulating gene expression and protein structure (Zhou et al., Nature, 2013; Yu et al., 2015 Mol. Cell; Fu et al., 2016 Genes & Dev; Zhou et al., 2016 PNAS). The other focus is to study the molecular and biochemical mechanism of circadian clocks (Xue et al., 2014 Nature, Liu et al., 2017 Mol. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree. Background in molecular biology or biochemistry is required. Experience in genomics and bioinformatics is not required but is preferred.
