Multiple PhD Positions in Cutting-Edge Heart Research
Make better scars!
The Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1425 investigates heterocellular interactions in cardiac lesions, using a broad range of state-of-the-art molecular, (epi)genetic, physiological and imaging techniques, to identify the multiple cell populations involved in tissue remodelling and repair, to characterise their interactions, and to explore the practical implications this has for clinically relevant scenarios from atrial fibrillation and myocardial infarction, to surgical, interventional, and pharmacological treatments.
Our aim is to help the heart in making better scars.
We are looking for pro-active individuals with skills across the board of biomedical research and engineering. Applicants should hold a first-class MSc; English-language skills at level B2 or better are required.
We offer exciting research topics, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and a like-minded, international, low-hierarchy community that combines competitive science with respect and support for one-another. If this sounds interesting to you — come and see more detail on projects and the application process at https://www.sfb1425.uni-freiburg.de/.
