Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center invites applications for an open faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Human Biology Division. We seek an exceptional laboratory-based scientist working in the area of solid tumor research who shares our goal to advance an understanding of the biological basis of cancer and to translate findings to the clinic.

For consideration, applicants must have a doctoral degree and a substantial record of achievement in areas that include, but are not limited to: molecular mechanisms of cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis; molecular mechanisms of disparities in cancer biology; cancers relevant to underdeveloped countries, genomics/systems biology; post-transcriptional gene regulation; novel therapeutics and mechanisms of drug resistance.

At Fred Hutch, our interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists and humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Our researchers — including three Nobel laureates — bring a relentless passion to their work and deliver hope to patients who come here from all over the world. Fred Hutch provides outstanding colleagues, a collegial atmosphere, and a wealth of resources to support junior faculty success. Excellent collaborative opportunities exist for joint and/or affiliate appointments in Fred Hutch Divisions of Clinical Research, Basic Sciences, Public Health Sciences or Vaccine and Infectious Disease, as well as the University of Washington, depending on mutual interests.

At Fred Hutch, we believe that the innovation, collaboration, and rigor that result from diversity and inclusion are critical to our mission of eliminating cancer and related diseases. We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems. Fred Hutch is in pursuit of becoming an antiracist organization.  We are committed to ensuring that all candidates hired share our commitment to diversity, antiracism, and inclusion.

Applications must be received no later than November 30th, 2020.
