  • Highly productive synthetic chemist with a focus on delivery and impact. Advances projects through creative problem solving in synthetic chemistry. Explores opportunities for innovative science within the project based on a sound understanding of project strategy.
  • Develop medicinal chemistry and molecular design expertise, grounded in exceptional synthetic chemistry capabilities, to expedite the delivery of CPD projects.
  • Work very effectively within teams of diverse scientific backgrounds (including biology, biochemistry, computational chemistry and proteomics). Proactively helps the team succeed – takes ownership of team-based tasks.
  • Help manage an external CRO synthesis team.
  • Help develop our culture of urgency and scientific excellence with a focus on therapeutic impact.
  • Actively participate in project meetings and clearly present your own research. Present and publish CPD innovations externally as appropriate.


  • PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry.
  • Exceptional scientific background with a track record of problem solving and delivery.
  • Expert in synthetic organic chemistry and demonstrates an aptitude for applying these skills to medicinal chemistry and molecular design.
  • Collaborative mindset – strong team working capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills – a very clear communicator.
