Postdoctoral Scientist Position (f/m/x)
Redox metabolism in pancreatic cancer
Our research group focuses on pancreatic carcinogenesis. We are especially interested how early carcinogenesis, tumor growth and differentiation as well as metastasis are regulated by metabolic pathways and ROS signaling.
Our interdisciplinary approach is based on genetically engineered mouse models of pancreatic cancer and employs methods such as tumor genomics and proteomics, bioinformatics, biochemistry and cell biology.
Our international research group is well embedded in the Munich biomedical research community and in the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center 1321 Modelling and Targeting Pancreatic Cancer.
Your profile
We are seeking a highly self-motivated and independent scientist with a PhD degree in biomedicine, biology, biochemistry or related fields with a specific interest in pancreatic cancer research. Experience in mouse husbandry and experimentation, basic and advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques are mandatory. The Postdoc is expected to be highly collaborative and pass on skills and knowledge to other team members and visitors. He/she will be involved in the supervision of PhD students and undergraduates. Excellent communication skills for scientific discussion are indispensable.
