Senior Coordinator, Research Data

From caring for patients to conducting clinical and translational research, the Lymphoma and Myeloma department is one of the largest multidisciplinary programs treating these cancers of the blood in the U.S. Led by our faculty team of 25 physicians and scientists, our patients benefit from a team approach that includes our colleagues in radiology, surgery, radiation therapy, hematopathology, and stem cell transplantation, as well as clinical pharmacists, research and clinical nurses, social workers, and dietitians.

Job Responsibilities

Data capture and maintenance
Develops and maintains system for controlling documentation flow for multiple complex protocols, including but not limited to, medical records, laboratory and pathology information, regulatory documents, and case report forms. Develops and maintains databases for collection of research data. Enters required data into designated data control systems. Assists with protocol updates and chart audits.

Sample collection, toxicity reporting and quality assurance
Monitors toxicity and response to study agents, and reports to proper source for a large number of patients on many protocols. Must be able to visually check records, review quickly and accurately, and communicate findings to proper source in a timely manner to the principal investigator and regulatory oversight groups.

Patient and Monitor Interaction
Assists the clinical research team with preparation for and coordination of clinical activities of participants enrolled on clinical research protocols. Manages flow of auditors and/or monitors for protocols as assigned. Includes oversight of the monitor visit and assurance of the completion of auditor/monitor checklists. Requires a high level of professionalism and organizational skills. Includes managing appointments for auditor/monitor with appropriate departments and personnel.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Education preferred: Bachelor's degree in a basic science.

Experience Required: Four years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.

Experience Preferred: Foreign MD experience.
