The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking to fill two or three post-doctoral position immediately. Highly motivated PhDs are needed to take part in exciting HIV/AIDS projects.

Our research is focused on the viral and host determinants of HIV-1 neuropathogenesis, modulation of ESCRT complexes in HIV-1 release and the effect of drugs of abuse on HIV-1 latency reactivation. We have recently also begun work on SARS-CoV-2 virological studies. Individuals interested in learning about the published work from the laboratory can visit the laboratory website at:

The person/s to be appointed will have the opportunity to spearhead exciting projects designed to unravel the molecular mechanisms of HIV replication /HIV neuropathogenesis/SARS CoV-2 replication using molecular biological, virological and cell biological methods.
