The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking to fill two or three post-doctoral position immediately. Highly motivated PhDs are needed to take part in exciting HIV/AIDS projects.

Our research is focused on the viral and host determinants of HIV-1 neuropathogenesis, modulation of ESCRT complexes in HIV-1 release and the effect of drugs of abuse on HIV-1 latency reactivation. We have recently also begun work on SARS-CoV-2 virological studies. Individuals interested in learning about the published work from the laboratory can visit the laboratory website at: http://www.einstein.yu.edu/faculty/6706/vinayaka-prasad/.

The person/s to be appointed will have the opportunity to spearhead exciting projects designed to unravel the molecular mechanisms of HIV replication /HIV neuropathogenesis/SARS CoV-2 replication using molecular biological, virological and cell biological methods. He/she will be able to interact with expert scientists and physicians at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as other collaborating institutions.

Please email Dr. Vinayaka R. Prasad at vinayaka.prasad@einsteinmed.org
