Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, service and health care, has started a national search for the next William Beaumont Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science. The department encompasses multidisciplinary research particularly strong in the cardiovascular, endocrine and neuroscience areas and has an outstanding record in graduate education supported in part by an NIH-T32 training grant currently in its 30th year. The department  eeks an individual with the vision and scientific stature to build  and maintain robust basic and translational research programs, and continue the strong commitment to graduate and medical education.  The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, a strong record of academic achievement, a solid level of extramural research funding and experience in both graduate student and medical student education.
