Position Summary
A postdoctoral position is available in The Wang Laboratory at the Department of Systems Biology, Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope, to study alternative RNA splicing and DNA damage response. The Wang Laboratory is currently funded by R01 grants, foundation grants, and City of Hope Startup package.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • The scientist will lead the project for RNA splicing dysregulation, DNA damage response, and oncogenesis in blood malignancies.
  • This project will involve a strong background in RNA splicing, DNA damage, cancer biology, animal models, and bioinformatics.


Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • M.D. or Ph.D. degree in Hematology, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or related field and 0-2 years of postdoctoral experience.
  • Successful candidates must have knowledge with the fundamental mechanism of RNA splicing, DNA damage, genetic murine models, and/or transcriptomics analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong problem-solving skills are required.
