Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics and experience with Next Generation Sequencing is required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates must hold American Board of Medical Genetics certification (or eligibility) in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics or Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics, or Molecular Genetic Pathology certification following Pathology residency.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of fellows, residents, medical and graduate students.

Clinical responsibilities may include molecular and cytogenetic/cytogenomic testing for our Pediatric population. We are interested in someone with a strong background in constitutional diagnostics.

The successful candidate will serve as an Assistant Director within the Division of Genomic Diagnostics. Physicians must be eligible/licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
