Post-doctoral Position in Liver Pathogenesis

A post-doctoral position is immediately available to conduct NIH-funded research on mitochondria and autophagy in ischemic, steatotic, and aged livers. Our laboratory in the Department of Surgery at the Washington University in St. Louis takes an integrative approach by utilizing primary rodent hepatocytes and in vivo analysis of rodent and human livers. The post-doc will collaboratively and independently conduct experiments to determine the mechanistic insights underlying the pathogenesis of ischemia/reperfusion injury, aging and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The candidate should have a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, or biochemistry. Applicants with experiences in liver research are encouraged to apply.

Requirements: M.D or D.V.M or Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a strong tracking record of publication.

Additional Information: Applications should include a brief cover letter highlighting the applicant's research experience and interests, along with full curriculum vitae and the names and contact information of 3 references.

Please submit cover letter, full curriculum vitae and names of three references via email to: Jae-Sung Kim, Ph.D. (https://surgery.wustl.edu/people/jae-sung-kim/), E-mail: kjaesung@wustl.edu

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
