The Department of Neurology and the Columbia Translational Neuroscience Initiative (CTNI) at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a faculty member to conduct basic and translational research on cellular biology of neurons of the peripheral nervous system. We invite applicants studying all aspects of peripheral nervous system biology, and who are particularly interested in expanding our expertise in the areas of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy [CIPN], painful neuropathies, and somatosensory neuroscience, to apply.
Columbia University has an exceptional program in basic, translational and clinical neuroscience related to peripheral nerve disorders and cancer. The appointee will have opportunities to interact with members of other Institutes and Centers at Columbia, including the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute and the Institute for Genomic Medicine. The successful candidate will also have access to exceptional core facilities including the Columbia Stem Cell Institute and the High-Throughput Screening Center.

The successful candidate will have a tenure-track appointment in Neurology and is expected to develop and maintain an independent, externally funded research program and to interface with clinical and translational efforts at Columbia. The appointment is supported by the Thompson Family Foundation (TFFI) in CIPN and Sensory Neuroscience.
