Description

The Department of Biomedical Imaging is seeking a highly motivated researcher with experience in molecular, cellular, biochemical and histological approaches who can leverage these skills in collaborative efforts to drive the discovery of new imaging targets and the development of in vivo imaging reagents/methods.  This provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to efforts across a range of imaging modalities and therapeutic areas within Genentech’s Research portfolio.

Who You Are

The qualified individual will possess the following:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related field, or a Bachelor's degree in the listed fields with at least 4 years of industry experience.
  • Extensive experience and expertise in molecular, cellular, biochemical and histological methods.
  • A demonstrated record of success in developing/evaluating imaging methods/reagents is desired.
  • Practical experience with in vivo imaging techniques and/or microsurgery techniques is a plus.
  • Background in Immunology, Neuroscience, Ophthalmology or Oncology is desired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment is required.
