A pofessional Research Associate position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Juan-Pablo Idrovo in collaboration with Dr. Elizabeth J. Kovacs at the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus.

Research in our laboratories is to study inflammatory response, innate immunity, and cell death in a multi-organ system in the context of tissue injury after trauma/burns. The current project is to identify the pathways and mechanisms responsible for liver damage in advanced age after burn injury by using in vitro and in vivo approaches combined with omics technology. (Knowledge in Necroptosis pathway is a plus)

Applicants should have Ph.D., MD degree, or equivalent in immunology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field. The candidate should possess laboratory skills in performing cell culture, ELISA, Western blotting, qPCR, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry. Ability to work with small animals.  Excellent oral and written communication skills (English fluency) are also required. The ability to work independently and in collaboration is essential. Qualified applicants should have research papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
