The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience at the University of Nebraska Medical Center invites applications for an exciting opportunity to lead an initiative in neuroimmunology in basic and translational research with an emphasis on multiple sclerosis and autoimmunity. The position is tenure leading, has broad collaborative and core support in “omics” (proteomics, metabolomics and genomics), bioimaging, theranostics, immunology, microbial pathogenesis, and neurochemistry disciplines. This position will hold the endowed Harriet B. Singer Professorship in Neuroimmunology pending administrative approvals. All academic ranks will be considered. Applicants who are experts in cellular, biochemical, molecular, and animal model systems are encouraged. Research interests will complement ongoing research in neurodegenerative and neuroinfectious diseases, nano medicine, and drugs of abuse. Candidates should have a PhD, MD or MD/PhD with a strong research program documented by publications, extramural funding, and broad reputation in scholarly works.
