Job Summary/Basic Function
The Cell Cycle and Cancer Biology Research Program (https://omrf.org/cccb) at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (omrf.org) invites candidates to apply for an investigator position at the Assistant Member level (Assistant Professor equivalent). Current investigators in CCCB use diverse models and approaches to study chromosome biology during cell cycle progression and development. All investigators at OMRF have access to a number of excellent core facilities, including an Imaging Core, state-of-the-art animal facilities, and modern sequencing platforms. The successful candidate will receive a generous, multi-year start-up package with significant, sustained salary and research support.

Current members of CCCB are highly interactive, and major emphasis will be placed on anticipated ability of the newly recruited member to further catalyze collaborative science and advance the institution's goal of fostering a more diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. Candidates must have evidence of postdoctoral training with an excellent record of research accomplishment. Preference will be given to candidates planning to establish a research program focusing on questions in chromosome biology, cell division, and/or genome stability. Investigators who use genomic and/or computational approaches to address problems in cell cycle and chromosome biology are of particular interest. However, quality and research potential of the applicant, rather than the precise research model or topic, are most important.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D., M.D., or Ph.D./M.D. and a minimum of 2 years relevant post-doctoral research experience or training.

Physical Demands
Frequently sit, use manual dexterity, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals and strong magnetic or electrical fields. Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation and cold (4o C) and/or extreme cold (-80o C) from freezers.
