RENEW POST DOCTORAL FELLOW

The University at Buffalo (UB) RENEW (Research and Education in eNergy, Environment and Water) Institute is a university-wide and interdisciplinary initiative, focusing on complex energy and environmental issues, as well as the social and economic ramifications (https://www.buffalo.edu/renew.html).

The Director of the Institute has a postdoctoral position available in the area of advanced materials synthesis and characterization for electronic, energy, environment and water applications.  Candidates with the following scientific and technical backgrounds are of interest – (1) Significant experience with heteroepitaxial growth and characterization of complex, multicomponent films using chemical solution processing for various functional applications; (2) Significant experience with 2D materials and heterostructures including growth and characterization as well as device fabrication. Experience with heteroepitaxial growth of 2D materials and devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

A doctorate in a relevant science or engineering discipline.  Two years prior work experience in a postdoctoral position is highly desired. A strong record of research publication and experience in writing grant proposals is desired.  Ability to work independently is required.  Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Salary/compensation will be dependent on educational background and experience.
