A CHDI-funded postdoctoral position is available in the Bevan Laboratory on Northwestern University’s Chicago campus to study mouse models of Huntington’s disease. The aim of the project is to determine how repeat expansions in exon 1 of the huntingtin gene affect the basal ganglia’s regulation of psychomotor function. Applicants should have a PhD in the life sciences, physics, or biomedical engineering, as well as research experience in neuroscience. Applications are particularly encouraged from scientists with published expertise in electrophysiology, modern circuit interrogation approaches, and/or mouse behavior. Extensive training and mentorship will be provided. Salary is commensurate with experience and the start date is negotiable. The position will remain open until filled. To ensure full consideration, application materials should be submitted by December 10. We actively seek applications from women and underrepresented minorities. Please submit a cover letter describing your career path and future goals, an NIH biosketch or CV, and contact information for 2-3 references. Informal inquiries should be addressed to Dr. Mark Bevan at m-bevan@northwestern.edu.
