Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Applications due: Rolling deadline

Now accepting applications for the Incyte Research Scholars Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Seeking postdoctoral candidates who have received or expect to have received the PhD or MD/PhD in 2018-2020 with interest in growing post-doctoral experience in translational oncology. Opportunities to gain valuable experience in biomarker development, experimental and developmental therapeutics, and cancer biology, and work within an academic institution and interact with industry partner.

The Incyte Research Scholars Program provides financial support to researchers for a two-year period. Each award includes salary support of $70,000 annually for two years. Funding for the further training is contingent upon submission of a progress report and approval by the Joint Steering Committee. Fellows will have the opportunity to develop independent research careers working with top academic scientists, but will also spend two weeks per year interning with Incyte Corporation scientists and leadership, providing insight into industry science.  Recipients of these competitive awards will be selected by leadership of the research collaboration.

Interested candidates must have received or expect to have received the PhD or MD/PhD in 2018-2020, have a strong graduate school record in molecular biology, immunology and genetics and/or biostatistics, and have published or have accepted one or more high-quality peer reviewed publications. To apply, please complete the application survey at: Incyte Research Scholars VUMC Application Link and submit a cover letter, CV including bibliography, unofficial graduate school transcript, and contact information for three references (do not send letters of reference at this time). Applications submitted through this website will be considered. Any questions about the position or application process can be directed to Erin Hertha at Erin.Hertha@vumc.org.
