Staff Scientist

The Lymphoid Malignancies Branch of the Center for Cancer Research is seeking applications for an exceptional opportunity at the National Cancer Institute for a Staff Scientist to work within a highly active clinical and translational research team led by Drs. Mark Roschewski, Wyndham Wilson, and Louis M. Staudt.  The team utilizes genomics and other molecular profiling methods in the context of an expansive portfolio of innovative early phase clinical trials testing novel targeted agents and novel-novel combinations within molecular subtypes of aggressive and indolent B-cell lymphomas.  A fundamental approach of this team is the translation of basic insights from the laboratory directly into clinical trials.  Candidates should have a strong track record of scientific productivity as well as the ability, interest and initiative to design, integrate and coordinate correlative studies that uncover the molecular mechanisms associated with response or resistance to therapy.  This laboratory-based position requires expertise in molecular biology, next-generation sequencing methods, and the bioinformatic analysis of genomic data.  Research interests that are relevant to this position include but are not limited to: cancer genomics and proteomics, analysis of circulating tumor DNA, signal transduction mechanisms, B cell biology and cancer immunology.

Candidates should have Ph.D. and/or M.D. or equivalent degrees. The successful applicant will be appointed at a salary commensurate with his/her qualifications and experience.  Full Federal benefits including leave, health and life insurance, long-term care insurance, retirement, and savings plan (or equivalent) will be provided.

Candidates should submit a curriculum vitae including a brief statement of research interest and background, list of publications as well as the names and contact information for four letters of reference.  The materials should be emailed to Sildiz Ali, Program Specialist, Lymphoid Malignancies Branch, National Cancer Institute at email: alis@mail.nih.gov
