Assistant Professor of Chemistry/General Faculty

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor Teaching position in Organic Chemistry, to begin in the 2020-2021 academic year.  The primary responsibilities involve instruction of organic chemistry laboratory and large lecture courses. Workload is three course sections per semester or their equivalent.  Start date for the position is August 25, 2020.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will be full-time salary with full-time benefits. The term of this appointment will be for three academic years with the possibility of renewal.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRMENTS: A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required by appointment start date. Demonstrated teaching experience, a commitment to teaching excellence as well as experience with appropriate laboratory safety measures and practices are required.
