Endowed Professor in Cancer Biology

As part of a campus-wide initiative associated with the Harper Cancer Research Institute (http://HarperCancer.nd.edu/), we seek an Endowed Chair in Cancer Biology at the level of tenured Professor. Individuals engaged in basic and translational cancer research using animal models of cancer are especially encouraged to apply. A demonstrated record of collaborative and interdisciplinary research is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of Biological Sciences (https://biology.nd.edu/) and will be expected to have a vigorous extramurally supported research program, participate in collaborations within and across disciplines, and contribute to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. Key research facilities include the AAALAC-accredited Freimann Animal Facility, Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility, Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Facility, Genomics and Bioinformatics Core Facility, Warren Family Research Center for Drug Discovery and Development, Eck Institute for Global Health, Center for Research Computing,  Keck Center for Transgene Research, Center for Zebrafish Research, and the Center for Rare and Neglected Diseases. The Harper Cancer Research Institute represents a collaboration between the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University School of Medicine-South Bend (http://medicine.iu.edu/southbend) and the University is also engaged in the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (I-CTSI) partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine (Indianapolis) and Purdue University. The position includes competitive salary, start-up funding and laboratory space, and potentially, an ancillary junior tenure-track faculty position.  Interested candidates may address confidential inquiries to Dr. M.
