As a member of the Frank Reidy Research Center for Bioelectrics at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, Dr. Claudia Muratori is currently seeking applicants for a Post-Doctoral position in cancer research and treatment. Research will focus on developing and characterizing a new tumor ablation treatment using high intensity electric pulses of nanosecond duration. Specific electric pulse protocols will be tested in vivo in tumor bearing mice and their effect will be judged by measuring tumor regression and antitumor immune stimulation.  The candidate will be part of a highly driven and cross-disciplinary research environment consisting of skilled researchers with a strong background in cell biology, biophysics, and pulsed power engineering.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a biology related field. A strong background in tumor biology and/or immunology is preferred. Applicants with hands-on-experience with tumor mouse models, primary cell isolation and characterization are especially encouraged to apply. The position is available immediately and open until filled. To learn more, contact the PI at cmurator@odu.edu
