Cancer Genomics and Computational Biology Faculty Position Northwestern University

The newly established Center for Cancer Genomics of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, in a joint effort with the Center for Genetic Medicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at Northwestern University are leading the search for a full-time tenure-track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of cancer genomics and computational biology. The primary faculty appointment will be in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.

Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. or M.D. or dual degree and an outstanding record of research in cancer genomics/epigenomics. Areas of responsibility include study of computational and genomic approaches to identify somatic and germline variation, epigenomic signatures, chromosomal instability, and pathway-specific mechanisms of human cancer.  Preference will be given to candidates with proven record of external funding.  We are seeking an individual who is willing to contribute and collaborate with the clinical programs at Northwestern Memorial and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospitals.  The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center offers a robust infrastructure for basic science research and clinical translation. The Center for Genetic Medicine houses the NUgene biobank. Northwestern University offers a collegial and collaborative scientific environment that is rich with core facilities, robust cross-disciplinary graduate training programs, and diverse expertise.   Salary is commensurate with experience. 

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
