Job Description
The Department of Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor with an expected start date of July 1, 2020. We are seeking candidates with expertise in any area of cell and molecular biology that will complement current strengths in neurobiology, genetics, gene regulation, development, or physiology; very competitive startup funds are available. Our faculty are expected to develop nationally recognized, extramurally funded research programs, to train PhD students and to participate in undergraduate teaching.
Required Qualifications
PhD degree in cell and molecular biology, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Postdoctoral research experience; strong publication record; potential for strong teaching skills; expertise that complements and expands the research capacity of the department
