Job Details

The Role:

This position will work in the Delivery Sciences group and will be involved in making improvements on novel lipid nanoparticle formulations for the treatment of lung diseases (i.e. cystic fibrosis) through the delivery of mRNA therapeutics. The candidate will have the opportunity to make improvements on LNP performance (as determined through in vitro or in vivo testing) by changing lipid compositions and formulation processes. The candidate will also collaborate with the In Vitro Biology group. The role is located at 200 Technology Square, Cambridge. Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Pharmaceutical Sciences-related majors are encouraged to apply.

Here's What You'll Do:
  • Make lipid nanoparticle formulations for the delivery of mRNA
  • Learn various methods of characterizing lipid nanoparticles
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures and protocols
  • Participate and present in group and project team meetings
  • Prepare and deliver a final presentation of research

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Currently Enrolled Junior or Senior
  • Laboratory experience and general wet lab skills (i.e. pipetting)
  • Previous co-op or intern experience preferred
  • Must be curious, eager, open to learning, and independent
  • Have positive team building and teamwork skills
