SUMMARY

The intended function of the Research Scientist position is to work in a multidisciplinary research pathology team, focused on scientific projects involving image analysis for cancer immunoprofiling studies. The research scientist will develop scientific projects, data management, data analysis and interpretation, as well as scientific communication of the findings in meetings and peer review journals. Expertise in histopathology and digital pathology are required for this position.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Lab-Specific Technicality

Develop and perform scientific research projects in the area of lung cancer, cancer immunoprofiling and digital pathology. Provide technical expertise in immunoprofiling studies and digital pathology image analysis.

Data Management

1. Create scientific content for digital pathology for immunoprofiling analysis protocols involving human and mouse tissue specimens, and respond to contingencies, revisions, etc. as needed.
2. Assist the PI in data analysis, preparation of manuscripts and grant applications.

Laboratory Research Coordination

Assist the PI to coordinate the laboratory research activities and daily lab research operation.

Other duties as assigned

PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree With PhD, no experience required. With Medical degree, two years of experience in experimental or scientific work.
