Job Details

KEY FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts research experiments and Projects. Plans and conducts experiments under the supervision of assigned classified research staff. Experiments include, but not limited to, generation of mutation constructs by Site-directed mutagenesis, routine cell culture maintenance, lentivirus production and transduction, cell viability assays.

2. Data gathering and analysis Records and evaluates data in accordance with methods requested.

3. Presentation and Writing Prepares presentation for meetings and assists writing and editing manuscripts.

4. Laboratory maintenance and material preparation. Performs routine laboratory maintenance work on equipment and waste disposal and preparation of required materials, such as buffers and agar plates, for experiments.

5. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree, major course work in one of the basic sciences.

EXPERIENCE
Required: No experience.
Preferred: Mammalian cell culture experience.
