Description

The Department of Natural Sciences offers an interdisciplinary undergraduate major in Natural Science with the opportunity for majors to complete one of several concentrations in the life or physical sciences.  The Department also participates in several interdisciplinary programs including the Integrative Neurosciences major, the Environmental Sciences major, and the pre-health program. Recent graduates of the Natural Science and Integrative Neuroscience majors have pursued careers in health professions such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, and optometry as well as disciplinary graduate programs e.g. in chemistry, neuroscience, and forensic science. Our mission is to provide undergraduates with the best possible education in lecture and laboratory classes and in faculty-mentored research.  Our location in Manhattan provides many opportunities for collaborative research.
