Autophagy – postdoctoral position

Vojo Deretic’s group at the University of New Mexico HSC

Dr. Deretic’s group is looking for a talented postdoc with strong background and exceptional motivation to study autophagy as a fundamental and applied process, and to lead or contribute to a set of projects in Dr. Deretic laboratory. The postdoc is expected to lead or contribute to team efforts of an international group of scientists in studying mechanisms of autophagy, intersections between autophagy and other key regulatory systems, role of autophagy in sterile or infection associated inflammation and pathogenesis, and the role of autophagy and associated homeostatic systems in cellular and tissue repair in various disease contexts. UNM HSC has a strong program on autophagy, inflammation and metabolism, and provides an exceptional opportunity to make a mark in this area of science.
