Job Details
The Immunology department at MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks to determine the fundamental cellular and molecular mechanisms of a wide range of processes by which the body recognizes and eliminates pathogens and use these findings to unleash the patient's own immune system against previously treatment-resistant cancers. Treating the immune system rather than the cancer itself, the therapeutics developed are applicable to many cancers.

Required: Bachelor's degree.
Experience
Required: Four years of flow cytometry experience.

KEY FUNCTIONS
Flow Cytometry
- Responsible for troubleshooting and assisting with experimental
designs and protocols for the IMT. - Responsible for ensuring qualty control, evaluating protocols, and
maintaining all flow cytometers and sorters of the IMT. - Handles all flow-related inquiries and runs samples for the IMT using flow cytometry and/or mass cytometry.
- Develops new flow and mass cytometry assays and develops new
flow panels (17-18) colors for the IMT.
Research
- Stays abreast with the latest technology available in both flow and
mass cytometry. - Handles reviews of literature and provisions of references.
Training
- Performs training on analytical cytometry and assists with data
analysis/interpretation and display graphics. Masters and works with
software(s) that can be used to analyze high order cytometry data (e.g., SPADE, viSNE).
