The Research Assistant II provides technical and coordination skills in carrying out various research projects.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Carries out research experiments and projects

a. Conduct research experiments with excellent basic molecular and tissue culture technique with high standard in safety and integrity.
b. Required to work with lentivirus transduction experiment.
c. Assists and supports other team members in experiments and contributes to various research projects as assigned.

Collects and analyzes data and report

a. Records and evaluates data in accordance with methods requested.
b. Performs analysis on collect data and makes conclusion.
c. Prepares report and/or presentation of experiments.

Laboratory maintenance and material preparation

a. Performs routine laboratory maintenance work on laboratory space and equipment.
b. Handles waste (including biohazardous waste) according to safety requirement.
c. Prepares materials for experiments as instructed.

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in natural science, basic science, molecular biology, genetics, or similar field.

EXPERIENCE
Required: Two years experience in scientific or experimental research work. No experience required with preferred degree.
Preferred: Mammalian cell culture experience.
