Postdoctoral Fellow in Structural Mechanistic Studies

A postdoctoral position is available in the Libich laboratory in the Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology and Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio). We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in structural and mechanistic studies of proteins and protein complexes. We employ NMR and a combination of other biophysical and computational approaches to study the structure/function relationships of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) implicated in the development of pediatric cancers.

We have regular access to an extensive array of state-of-the-art core facilities for structural biology and biophysics including NMR (700, 600 and 500 MHz), X-ray crystallography, mass spectrometry, ITC, SPR, and analytical ultracentrifugation as well as close interactions with groups involved in translational, clinical and drug discovery efforts. Candidates that have demonstrated experience in biochemical/biophysical studies of proteins and hold (or will soon hold) a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a related discipline are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications should be sent directly to Dr. David Libich (Libich@uthscsa.edu) and include a short description of your research accomplishments, current CV, and the contact information for three (3) references.

All Postdoctoral appointments are designated as security sensitive positions. The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer including protected veterans and persons with disabilities.
