The School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas seeks to hire 3 tenure-system faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. Applicants from all areas of Neurobiology will be considered. Priority will be given to candidates with a research focus in the following areas: (1) neurophysiology, with an emphasis on neuropharmacology/physiology, voltagegated channel regulation, or the integration of neural circuits; (2) single cell methods to understand the diversity of functions of nervous system cells in health and disease; (3) interrogating neuronal function at the level of individual synapses, ideally using expertise in areas of rapid technological advancement such as ultrastructural imaging and/or application of expansion microscopy. The successful candidates will build independent research programs and collaborate with colleagues in our rapidly growing Neuroscience Bachelor of Science Program.
New faculty will be expected to teach courses within their area of expertise at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants should hold a PhD in Neurobiology or a related field, and show evidence of a dynamic and productive research program with clear potential for funding.
