The bicoastal Scripps Research Institute (Scripps) is conducting a faculty search for four tenure-track Assistant Professors; two will be located on the La Jolla, CA campus, and two on the Jupiter, FL campus.  The area of research is open but should fit within the broad scope of research in chemical and biological sciences at Scripps. Areas of emphasis include Immunology and Structural Biology.

Scripps Research— one of the world's largest, private, non-profit research organizations — is at the forefront of basic biomedical science, with faculty undertaking medical research that seeks to comprehend the most fundamental processes of life. Over the last decades, the Institute has established its core strengths in biomedical research at the interfaces between chemical and biological sciences.  Nature Index has ranked Scripps Research second in the world and first in the United States among stand-alone scientific institutes for biomedical research, based on discoveries by the Institute’s researchers published in leading scientific journals.

The Institute is organized into two campuses, one in La Jolla, California, and one in Jupiter, Florida. Scripps has a vibrant Ph.D. program that is ranked in the top 10 in chemical and biological sciences and boasts a collegial and collaborative environment, where faculty, students and postdoctoral fellows can freely interact across campuses and disciplines to form synergy in emerging areas of research.

Scripps will not discriminate or allow harassment against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities, or against any individual based on their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local laws, or any other non-employment related criteria. Further, Scripps is committed to the principals of equal employment opportunity in all employment decisions including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, promotions, terminations, reduction in force, transfers, job offers, job assignments, compensation, benefits, training, education and company events.
