Saint Francis University invites applications for the 12-month full time position of Dean in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM).  The Dean reports to to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and is responsible for the management and administration of the School of STEAM, including working with highly committed faculty and staff to foster and build an inspiring vision for the School, encouraging external grants and gifts to the School of STEAM, leading and supporting major School of STEAM partnerships, and designing innovative programs and curriculum delivery methods.  The Dean is also responsible for planning and budgeting, hiring of faculty and staff, management of internal and external communication, and encouraging and coordinating STEAM faculty involvement in recruiting.

Candidate should possess a doctoral degree, or at minimum, a terminal degree in a discipline included in the School of STEAM, and have at least 8 years of relevant experience in administration, teaching, and design of educational programs.  The ideal candidate has a passion for leading innovation and integration of the arts and sciences, supporting effective and integrative design of curricula, development of faculty and programs, and demonstrated experience in leading this integrated vision and strategy.  The ideal candidate has teaching, scholarship, and administrative experience in higher education, and demonstrated experience in fostering and developing the related Liberal Arts Core across programs of arts, sciences, health sciences, and/or business.  The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to promoting and implementing the mission, vision, and spirit of the University as a Franciscan Catholic institution of higher education.
