Assistant Professor

Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute and Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons are currently recruiting outstanding scientists, preferentially at the Assistant Professor tenure-track level (https://zuckermaninstitute.columbia.edu/  https://www.ps.columbia.edu/).

We are seeking candidates from diverse background who have demonstrated exceptional ability, creativity and productivity. Appropriate departmental affiliation will be decided after selection. Generous start-up funds, space, and mentorship will be provided. Research labs will be housed in the Jerome L. Greene Science Center on Columbia’s new Manhattanville campus. Areas of interest include: 1) genetic, genomic and evolutionary approaches that investigate the neural basis of behavior; 2) use of optical, chemical, electrical or computational methods to link neural circuitry to behavior; 3) computational, behavioral and/or physiological approaches to study cognitive and/or emotional processes; and 4) emerging issues in molecular, cellular, and developmental neuroscience in health and disease.
