The Sather lab is currently recruiting an energetic, highly motivated postdoctoral researcher for a project in HIV-1 vaccines. The goal of this project is to understand the kinetics, ontogeny, and evolution of B cell receptor (BCR) responses during vaccination. We seek to define how vaccines drive Fab evolution and class switch kinetics, and to determine the functional consequences of these processes on vaccine-elicited antibody immunity. We emphasize technology driven approaches and heavily utilize NGS and single cell approaches in our studies.
We are looking for creative, independent researchers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and will train the right candidate. Background in immunology, infectious diseases, or NGS-based approaches is preferred; enthusiasm, energy, and motivation are essential.
