The Coastal Zone Management Program of Stockton University is seeking to fill a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching load is 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Teaching responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate courses in an area of expertise, as well as supervision of Masters thesis and Professional Science Masters candidates.
  • Of particular interest are Coastal Zone Policy, Law and Planning, Coastal Engineering, Hydrography and Geospatial Analysis.
  • Teaching responsibilities may include courses in the University’s General Studies “common”.
  • Must develop a research program, leading to external funding, involving masters students.
  • Excellent teaching and scholarship are expected.
  • Evening teaching responsibilities are possible.
  • The ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. is required for appointment as an Assistant Professor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching and/or postdoctoral experience are desirable.
  • We seek a colleague who is committed to teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment.
  • Academic experience with culturally diverse populations is desired.
